How do I convert FLAC audio to WAV without losing quality?

Upload the FLAC file and the converter chooses the WAV codec and bitrate to match the source. Lossless WAV (WAV / FLAC / ALAC) preserves every sample bit-identically; lossy WAV (MP3 / AAC / OGG / Opus) defaults to 192 kbps which is transparent for most ears. FLAC uses linear prediction plus Rice coding to reach roughly 50-60% of the original size while decoding back to bit-identical PCM. WAV normally stores raw uncompressed PCM — every sample kept exactly, at whatever bit depth and sample rate was captured.
Yes. Both formats keep every sample, so decoding the WAV returns a bit-identical copy of the audio inside the FLAC. Nothing is quantised, nothing is discarded, and the conversion can be repeated indefinitely without accumulating artefacts. What changes is the file size and which software will open it.
Not intact. FLAC carries a proper metadata block, but WAV has no standard place for artist, album, track number or cover art, so tags are dropped rather than mangled. Keep the FLAC as the tagged copy, or re-tag afterwards with a tool like Mp3tag or MusicBrainz Picard. WAV is enormous — roughly 10 MB per stereo minute at CD quality — and the classic format has a 4 GB ceiling and no room for proper tags.
Default is 192 kbps for lossy WAV; pass-through for lossless WAV. Override to 320 kbps for audiophile or 96 kbps for voice / podcast. The choice trades file size against audible fidelity; below 96 kbps lossy artifacts become noticeable on music.
If FLAC is lossy and WAV is lossless (e.g. MP3 → WAV), the WAV is no better than the FLAC — you cannot recover information already discarded. If FLAC is lossless and WAV is lossy, the WAV codec recompresses; at 192 kbps the result is transparent for most content.
Yes — title, artist, album, year, track number, and album art are read from the FLAC container and written into the WAV container where the format supports tags. All common targets (MP3, AAC, FLAC, OGG) handle tags fine; raw WAV does not. WAV is Microsoft and IBM’s RIFF-based audio container from 1991, and it is what almost every audio interface and DAW writes on record.
