How do I extract frames from a 3GP video as BMP images?

Upload the 3GP and the converter exposes a frame-extraction picker: every Nth frame, frames at specific timestamps, or one frame per second. Each chosen frame is encoded as an individual BMP file and the full set is bundled into a ZIP archive for download. 3GP is the container the 3GPP standardised for early mobile phones, when video had to fit a 176x144 screen and a 2G data plan. BMP is the Windows Bitmap, the raw raster format built into Windows since 1985.
Can I get the BMP frames without the subtitles?

Only if the 3GP never had them burned in, because 3GP has no selectable subtitle stream to switch off. Anything a 3GP shows on screen is in the picture itself, so it is in every BMP the extraction produces and no setting removes it afterwards. Where a separate subtitle file exists alongside the video, extract from a source that kept the two apart and the frames come out clean. 3GP is capped at low resolutions and mono speech-grade audio; upscaling it will not restore detail that was never captured.
How big will the BMP files be?

Larger than you might expect, because BMP keeps every pixel exactly rather than approximating. A 1080p still lands around 2-5 MB and a 4K still around 6-15 MB, so a long extraction run adds up quickly. That is the right trade when the images feed further processing, and the wrong one when they are going straight onto a web page. BMP usually stores completely uncompressed pixel rows with a small header, which is why it is so simple to parse.
At what resolution does each extracted BMP frame come out?

Can I extract every single frame from 3GP as BMP?

Yes, but be careful with file count — a 30fps 1-minute 3GP produces 1,800 BMP frames. We pack them into a ZIP automatically. For longer clips, the "1 per second" option (60 frames) or specific timestamps gives a manageable result.
Will the extracted BMP images preserve the 3GP color grading?

Yes — colour is decoded with the matrix the source 3GP uses (BT.709 for HD, BT.2020 for 4K HDR). HDR sources are tone-mapped to SDR on extraction to BMP because most BMP formats (PNG, JPG) cannot store HDR pixel ranges natively.
What is the file size of one extracted BMP frame?

Does the extracted BMP retain EXIF camera metadata?
