Can I still edit the content after converting MD to EPUB?

Not the way you edit the MD. The EPUB is a delivery format: it fixes the layout so it renders identically everywhere, which is exactly why it resists editing. Keep the MD as the working copy and regenerate the EPUB whenever the content changes — round-tripping back out of EPUB always loses something. EPUB is the open ebook standard from the International Digital Publishing Forum, now maintained by the W3C.

Are my MD files kept private?

Yes. Uploaded MD files are processed on our own conversion servers, no person reviews them, and they are never shared. What if the EPUB download does not start automatically?

Disable any pop-up blocker, then click the download button manually. The result link stays active for 24 hours, so if your network drops mid-download you can retry from the result page without re-uploading the MD.
How long does MD to EPUB conversion take?

It depends on the size and length of the file. Small documents and images are usually ready quickly. Long videos take the longest, because most video conversions re-encode every frame. EPUB reflows text to any screen size and any font size, which is what makes it readable on a phone as well as an e-reader. EPUB has no fixed pagination, so page numbers are meaningless, and complex layout — tables, equations, multi-column — degrades badly.
